Partnership builds homes, community year after year

Volunteers from Whirlpool Corporation, Habitat for Humanity of Monroe County and Indiana University’s Kelley School recently completed construction of a new Habitat home in Bloomington for Neydra Garza, a single mother of three and first time homeowner.
It was the sixth home built since 2010 by a volunteer coalition from Whirlpool, IU, the Kelley School and Habitat for Humanity volunteers for a Bloomington family. More than 400 undergraduate and graduate students participate on site in the build, along with faculty, administrators, Whirlpool employees/alumni volunteers.
