DESCRIPTION:
Pfizer understands that every individual matters and that access to prescription medicines can change lives. That’s why we empower millions of eligible patients in need with a wide range of patient support services, regardless of their insurance situation. Pfizer’s comprehensive assistance program, Pfizer RxPathways®, offers patients in the United States (including Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands) insurance counseling, co-pay assistance and access to Pfizer medicines for free or at a reduced cost.
In this video, two of Pfizer’s community partners who implement Pfizer RxPathways discuss how the program addresses people’s individual needs and helps connect them with access to their medicines.
“Many patients need assistance – either free medications or at a discount – because they don’t have insurance. Others might need help with their co-pay,” explains Celia Trigo Besore, former Executive Director of the National Association of Hispanic Nurses (NAHN). “The beauty of the Pfizer program is that everybody’s different, everybody has different needs, and it is really targeted to that individual need.”
“Pfizer’s been there in hundreds and hundreds of communities. Their mission is meeting their actual actions in the field,” adds Craig Kennedy, Executive of the Association of Clinicians for the Underserved (ACU).
Kennedy says Pfizer RxPathways is “actually getting the prescription into the hands of the people that need it, when they need it.”
