DESCRIPTION:

In a single afternoon, UnitedHealth Group, UnitedHealthcare and Optum executives fanned out across the Twin Cities on Oct 1 for a day of service benefiting 40 Minneapolis-based nonprofit organizations.

This citywide community service project enabled UnitedHealth Group leaders to give back to the greater Minneapolis community. Volunteer activities ranged from preparing and serving meals in a homeless shelter, and interacting with patients at Children’s Hospital, to providing skills training to various community organizations. The community service project resulted in more than 2,400 high-impact hours of volunteer service.
