With its “Rolling Laboratory” approach, UPS has invested in a fleet of more than 5,000 alternative fuel and advanced technology vehicles running on natural gas, propane, ethanol, biomethane, renewable diesel, and electricity. UPS has driven more than 500 million miles in this sustainable fleet, and is more than halfway toward its goal of driving 1 billion miles by the end of 2017.
