This week, UnitedHealth Group launched its newly enhanced employee giving and volunteering program – giving!. The program evolved to meet employees’ desires for greater choice and flexibility and now supports them in more ways that they choose to give back to the communities where they live and work.
UnitedHealth Group, through the United Health Foundation, now doubles employee donations to nearly all nonprofit organizations. Employees can contribute and receive a matching contribution, 365 days a year. And, when employees track 30 hours of volunteer time, they automatically earn $500 to donate to a nonprofit of their choice.
This program makes it easy for employees to double the impact of their contributions and supports employees in more ways that they give back, whether with their time or their money.
UnitedHealth Group employees have a strong history of generously giving their time and money. Over the past 12 years, employees and United Health Foundation have contributed $154 million to support local communities through the employee giving program. And last year, employees logged nearly 500,000 hours valued at $11 million dollars.
