Nevada Public Radio recently hosted its Fall 2016 Recycle Day event in partnership with its participating sponsors including Republic Services, Goodwill of Southern Nevada, Care Coalition, Blind Center and Shred-It. Nevada Public Radio staff & volunteers were able to accept recycling from individuals in over 850 vehicles. The semi- annual event has allowed sponsors and partners to educate the community on recycling, while providing the Nevada Public Radio listeners and Desert Companion readers with options for proper disposal of their recyclables, sensitive documents, electronics, and prescription medications. “Republic Services is proud to be an annual sponsor and partner of this great recycling resource made available to the Southern Nevada community,” stated Len Christopher, general manager with Republic Services.
